Questions concerning new L'Edges manufactured by Liquidlogic

Post by boatbuster »

Several friends of mine have questions about getting these boats. Are all new L'Edge's ordered from Esquif made by Liquidlogic? Are only Lite L'Edges being molded by Liquidlogic or also regular L'Edges? What colors are available?

Another friend wants to know if it is possible to buy a L'Edge direct at the Liquidlogic factory in North Carolina save on the costs of shipping the boat to and from Canada? Doubt it, but just asking.

I'm sure there are some that can answer this better than I but I do believe some of the answers are easily answered:

-There is only one mold for the L'Edge, therefore all current manufacture L'Edeges are being molded by LL.
-I have been told that at lest some of the boats are being finished and outfitted here in the USA, not by LL so they are almost certainly not being shipped to CA to be shipped back for the US market.
-Because LL is not doing the finish work I highly doubt that you can demo or pick a boat up from them directly but I am certain that you can get one from somebody in the USA.
-Shawn Malone can almost certainly answer all of these questions and more.

Hope this helps until you can get more complete answers.

Sorry the questions were inartfully posed

Thanks for your reply. A better way of asking these questions:

1. If a person orders a new L'Edge are they guaranteed to be ones molded by Liquidlogic? Or does Equif still have older L'Edges in stock it is sending out? My friend definitely is interested in a LL molded one.

2. Is Esquif having LL mold only Lite L'Edges or are heavier plastic ones also available molded by LL?

3. If boats are being finished and outfitted here in the USA, where?

Thanks again.

FWIW - if anyone from Esquif or LiquidLogic reads this post, we as forum admin's welcome a response to questions like these to keep the rumor mill to a minimum and get the straight facts out to the community. In that past I've contacted some folks directly, but I don't think I have working contact info for anyone at this point, hence this somewhat odd message.

Shawn Malone is outfitting at least some of the LL boats in Chattanooga. I don't think he's a dealer though.

Easy answer for this one, for certain any L'Edge Lite that is not Yellow or Purple and any regular L'Edge (if available) that is not Red or Green is going to be one molded by LL.

Well, excepting Louie's Turd colored one and possibly a couple of the original prototypes that are still floating around, I've seen a couple of black ones and Gigi's uncolored one.

The Liquid Logic version will apparently be even lighter than a L'edge Lite. Perhaps they can name it the Light lite to remove any confusion.

According to my Millbrook Boats dealer price list, only the L'edge Lite is available either decked or open.
Color is yellow.
Decked $1767. Open $1931.
No sales tax in NH. Order now!

EDIT: I'm told by Esquif that colors for the L'edge are blue or orange, not yellow.

I've been to Trail Head in Ontario Canada. Two new L'edges by Liquidlogic were on display. One was blue and the other one was orange. I have a yellow lite. In my opinion they were a tab bit heavier. At least there seem to be life after death.

When you roll say hi to Dora for me.

Anyone managed to get word from Esquif? Even my local dealer looking to pick up Esquif as a supplier can't seem to get them to contact them.
