Vertige X / Caption / Probe 14

Post by Yves »

Hello! I currently own a Vertige X that I outfitted myself so it can take three 60 liters barrels. I’m looking for a second 14’ canoe. Do you know if a Caption or a Probe 14 could take three 60 liters barrels? Also, do you have any opinion on how the Caption and Probe 14 compare to the Vertige X? This is for class 3 whitewater tripping. Should I get a second Vertige X instead of a Caption or a Probe 14? Thanks in advance!

If you like the Vertige X and it works for you, then yes, I'd consider getting another one.

Thanks. I think that I will get another Vertige X, since I'm very happy with it.

I've used both on canoe trips. The Vertige-X is the better choice for tripping.
