Thanks for the tip PAC, tupperware is packed!
I am heading out early tomorrow (Friday), and trying to make Teeters campground by nightfall.
If I can find it that is - never been there before.

I am up for anything going - Cheat/UY/Sandy etc on Sat/Sun/Mon...

Gwyn -
Teter's Campground
122 Beech Run Rd, Albright, WV ‎
(304) 329-3626 ‎

I79 S to I68 E to 26 S toward Albright.... its after the old Iron furnace on the right - hard right cut back to head down hill to camp area. If you see the Cheat you've gone too far.

Lower Big Sandy might be running too! Def hook up with Tommy and Al! Enjoy!

We were a few boats short of an Armada this year down on the Cheat. There we 8 of us total, one was a kayaker, so we were 12% kayakers. That aside it was a great day . Temps were in the 60s if a bit breezy. Rising gauge on the Cheat that topped out at 2.4', so good water. There were boaters from Canada, Virginia, Ohio, and Pa. It was a real good time, if not well attended. Rand

Sorry I missed it! Found myself in a 17' touring canoe on the middle yough with a pod of teenagers in flat water kayaks with a strong head wind.... it was a VERY long day! :-(

Cheat & UY would have been so much more fun... glad you all pulled it off!

I was somewhat remiss in not mentioning that Big Al was the hub upon which this whole wheel turned. Thanks Big AL

In addition to the good water and good times there were some truly fine examples of self rescue technique displayed intermittently throughout the day. I think my sympathy swim at the bottom of High Falls was a particularly excellent effort. ;)

There was a nice variety of boats among the 8 of us. No two were the same. Two boats started out as Options, but one has been so thoroughly modified that I don't think it can be rightly be called an Option at this point.

It was good paddling with you all. Keep in touch.
