How do I put a picture in the message body?

I couldn't find an answer to this in the FAQ. How do I put a picture directly into the message body? I have been trying the Img button, but it doesn't allow me to paste an image I copied from my hard drive. I posted the pictures to picasa and tried again but a message comes up saying that it can't define the dimensions of the picture. As a result, I've been using the URL button, but that leads you away from the site and into my picture albums. :-? My albums are posted public, but it is not my intention to lead people away from the forum. What am I doing wrong?

Step 1: Make sure the file is not HUGE
Step 2: Click "Choose File" just under the blue section under the "submit" button
Step 3: Find and select your file
Step 4: Click "Add File"
Step 5: (the file name will appear just below this window next to attachments): Click "Place inline" (with the cursor where you want the image)
