Maine, Penobscot West Branch - The Race That Never Was!

Post by TNbound »

Any of you northeastern folks that are in the neighborhood should come up to the West Branch of the Penobscot this weekend. Saturday will be the first official running of "The Race That Never Was" down the Penobscot from Rip Gorge through Cribworks. Even if you don't want to race, it will be a great show with plenty of room for spectators at Cribworks! Like the facebook page for the Send It race series HERE and stay up to date! Did I mention the fabulous prizes?!

A bunch of people will be camping in the West Branch area and paddling over the weekend. I'll be there thursday or friday through sunday. I doubt I'll be running gorge/crib, but the rest of the river is fun class III/IV. Maybe we'll even make it up to the Seboomook a day.

Anyone want to come play?
