Let's see:

Prototype Millbrook AC DC (when John sold it to my father he noted it didn't AC or DC well, but we have had a lot of fun in it over the years and still use it on occasion)

Perception Reflex (very dark period in my life before I realized C1's existed. As soon as I found out they did I sold it, and purchased:)

About this time I got my guides license (have to be 18 to guide in NYS) and was pushing rubber a bit (starting out with "bucket boats". I tell you, these trainees these days have it WAY too easy with the self bailers!)

Dagger Cascade and Perception Slasher I learned a lot in those boats!

I sold them and purchased a first year Dagger Atom - I was in college at this point.

Next came the Massive Groove (when I had a "real job")

Then a used Fanatic II after going to the Armada in '99 and enjoying watching all the long boats

I *think* the standard cut Acrobat was next, as i was interested in squirting from when I got the Cascade and Slasher, but it might have been a Viper.

After that I forget. I was traveling on business, paying no rent, and was able to pick up boats as they appeared for sale all across New England. And my rack shows it!
Keep the C!

Seems like a good way to introduce myself to the group, listing my boat progression- beats the way dogs do it!
My name's Tony, paddled from 1980-1995, had kids and got back into it this past year.

paddled grummans, alumacrafts, old town trippers with the scouts in Maine (Roy Hunter infected my with the whitewater bug)
later I got to paddle "new" boats: discovery and a grumman eagle

went to the dark side when I got my own boat: a used lettman, shared a phoenix slipper k1 and spent most of my time patching it, a hollaform (It was like paddlin' a soft bleach bottle), and demo mirages- the walls were a mirage- had some funky plastic post to support the deck.

was trying to roll a borrowed me using article from canoe magazine when I met Bernie- got me rollin' good

first and only "new" boat a gyramax- wore that sucker out- had holes in both ends- became self bailing from video boating on the new- best big water boat
trashed a flashback (turned them pretty spruce gunnels into splinters) on the uy, lost a wautga squirt boat under an undercut on obed-emory- got it back from some nice folks

The dope finally wore off from my video boatin stupor, only took fifteen years, and I noticed the kids were teenagers rather than in diapers, decided to boat again.

Went to nicest sporting Goods and got me some kind of funny plastic canoe with folding seats- took it to the upper new and kept bein' told it weren't a real whitewater boat, folks were mumblin' something about air matresses and float toys not bein' suitable flotation

this past year got me a cascade- spray skirt didn't fit and didn't feel like I'd ever be able to stay in it- sold it to Zeth

bought a taureau from kimmie- that thing ain't a boat- its two traffic pylons welded together masquerading as a boat- but it is kinda fun on creeks

got me gyramx from the O'heeO lands ( I prefer the pocohontas moviedisney pronunciation)- hijacked by my son most of the time

So in addition to introducing myself I think I managed to answer all the important questions from the past year- what's the best big water boat, pro and cons of the taureau aka"turdo" the perfect s**t creek boat, and I'm gonna tell my wife my knees hurt like hades so I need to get something more comfy to paddle- I wonder if you can turn one of them mirages into a cboat???
the line I'm takin' is the rr tracks

Whitesell Pyrana for Aaron-now a tandem for us
Dagger Encore for Aaron

WS ForPlay conversion-Aarons C1 but kills his 34" inseam and size 13 feet.

Got a 28' sailboat, too, and a couple dinghys. Had a 26' sailboat well before the "paddling madness" hit me
so glad for Krylon, ABS and acetone.Squirt, sail, paddle and pole.

1996- Caption
1997- Ovation (hated it)
1998- Viper 11
1999- Skeeter
2000- Superfly
2001- Spanish Fly
2001- Prelude

-I've owned a lot of other boats for specialty purposes (slalom, downriver, freestyle, Ocoee for the big water in CO etc...) but the list above represents what I would call the progression of my everyday boats.

-I paddled the Spanish Fly as my everyday boat until about 2004 then the prelude from 2004 on but I owned a prelude before and still paddle a spanish fly all the time since it is a great playboat (ocoee, gauley etc...)
