Wanted: Whitesell Descender ***(Please delete this post)***

Any Boat, Gear, or outdoor related item you have for sale. If you use it on a paddling trip, or to prepare for one, it's fair game.

I am still actively seeking a Whitesell Descender.

If you put me in touch with someone who has one, and I end up buying it; I'll pay you a "finder's fee" of 25 bucks.......

Are you heading to ALF? That would be a good place to ask around.

You could also try asking Whitesell Canoes to see if they know of anybody selling one. At one time, it was a small enough community that they had a pretty good idea of where their canoes were.

Thanks for the advice Brian; I'll certainly give that a try.
Nothing else seems to be working.

ALF is way off the beaten track for me; traveling that far to attempt to locate a boat would not be cost effective.

So... you re sorta actively looking but only in your area??
Why don't you update your profile so we can see approximately where in the world you live? North America at least?

At what point did boating become cost effective?

I'd be spending a big chunk of change to do a round trip to ALF.
That's the part that's not cost effective.
I could end up paying twice the price of a boat doing long road trips to "ask around", and still not find the boat I'm seeking.
So I'm trying to find one via paddling websites.

I live in south central Missouri/USA.
I'm willing to drive several hundred miles one way to pick up the boat I'm seeking; if & when I ever find it.
If I can't find one, it's no big deal; just thought I'd give it a try.

You have a Descender stashed up in Canada??

If you are referring to the Descender, posted for sale on ACC Jan. 30th this year; it sold before I was able to request & receive photos.

Whoever got it, got what appeared to be a seldom paddled Descender in excellent condition, at a very good price.

Thanks for the heads up anyway.

No, I never found a Descender.
Quit looking for one.
Make do with Piranha when needed, which grows more seldom.
Would delete original post if I knew how?

Thanks.
