Hello Ronnie,
I am very interested. :D Put me down for a red Finkenmeister. Let me know what I need to do to order a boat. Can you ship out here to California?
Good news!

I've used dozens of paddles and the Werner Bandit tops my list. Both the fiberglass and carbon fiber are durable and perform very well. The spoon blade is great and its a good-looking paddle. Nice touch with the laminated T grip. You won't be sorry.

:D I just got an email from Robert Sommers of Robson saying that they would be setting up a warehouse (I read distributor) in the US soon. He wanted to know if I remained interested. I said 'definitely'. It seems the Finkenmeister should soon be available. Good news! I'll pass the word when I learn ...

All that's needed now is a North American distributor! If I find out anything about that I'll post a message.

Two comments about forward strokes in difficult whitewater:
1) Keep the strokes relatively short and fast
2) Watch where you place them.

Hello Msims, Yeah, let's check out that comment about plastic quality. :-? Who knows a yaker who's had a Robson for a year plus? Martin, Early on I heard something about the Finkenmeister being a 'hole destroyer'. What does that mean? Does that mean it has a reasonable chance of escaping a big hole ...

Martin, Thanks for the review! Glad you were able to solve that stern problem by shifting your weight forward. Did you get stern-endered at all on the Gull? I'm 160 lbs and have no trouble moving a Dagger Cascade around. Do you think I'd be OK with the Finkenmeister? Your comment about boofing abili...

I agree with Craig that the Finkenmeister is worth a look.. The Robson Finkenmeister would probably be the best boat to goto for Creeking. What type of creeking would you be doing - tight and low volume or more open and higher volume? The Finkenmeister promises to be good at both. The problem right ...

As a once lonely C1er out here in California, I've finally found a home. I am on this site three or four times a week getting the warm fuzzies talking to my fellow C boaters. The lack of spray is also really welcome.

Martin, Thanks for a very helpful review. :D Sounds like the boat for me. Yeah, I was a little concerned about that relatively narrow and low volume stern from the pictures I saw of the boat. How does the stern get grabbed or endered relative to the Atom? Did you go over any steeper drops? I'm wonde...

Hey Martin, Looking forward to your review on the Finkenmeister! Let's see if it makes a good creeker/river runner. Oregonmatt and I are trying to get one out here from the same dealer. The dealer, 'Next Adventures', is apparently degotiating with Robson to be the next North American distributor. Ho...

We are going to have to be patient. I got an email yesterday from Robson of Germany (Robert) and they indicated that they have ended their business relationship with extremegear, and are looking for another way to do business here. I called Next Adventures in Oregon and they stated they are going to...

Craig is showing a lack of perspective. Give him a chance and he'll grow up. We were all a little like that once.

The Gus as a C1

Sounds a little like my escapades in the Perception Stikine, another round- bottomed boat and one that forced my knees in too-narrow a spread. It wasn't quite as traumatic for me, but I tried to adjust to the boat over 2 years time, modifying the outfitting until I had it optimized and it still was ...
