Re: Soul Waterman's Fanatix

... may be cut short. Keep that in mind. The Fanatix seems to be a winner, but the last 2 plastic C1's (the Robson Finkenmeister and Drakkar Wheelboy) were not financially successful. The C1 community is small and difficult to please.

Re: C1 & C2 Boating

... storm chaser. The SC is borderline and I get by because it is wider than the hornet giving a little bit more room for the knees. I have a plastic Wheelboy that also has a flat bottom, so once I squeeze in it, it is reasonably comfortable. The Wheelboy is for training purposes with the grandkids. ...

Re: C1 & C2 Boating

Well continuing on my monologue here I recently picked up a new boat that is completely out of my paddling experience, a play boat C1. It is the Wheelboy recently listed here. I have no idea whether it will become a regular in my boat rotation. I do know that it is easy to roll and surprisingly ...

Drakkar Wheelboy C1 for sale

$250 or $300 with skirt. In great shape with just the normal scratches and wear. This C1 was, to my knowledge, the only purposeful built plastic C1 designed to be a playboat. Can do all the playboat moves. Has both a foam bulkhead for the knees and Northwater release-able thigh straps to keep you in...

Prijon Delirious advice

... in the weight range? I'd have to saw out the cockpit rim thigh braces to outfit, so it's a one way conversion. I'm nervous after getting into my Wheelboy after not paddling that since about 2005 and 25 or 30lbs. Didn't go well.

Re: More good news - now on the spray skirt front!

Talked to Chris of Skirtworks this weekend and sounds / looks like all is up an running. Saw some of the skirts, some squirt booties, etc. Quality looks to be there and yep he has all the templates including Fink, Wheelboy, Cascade / Atom, etc..... 8)

Re: WTB: Drakker Wheelboy

I am still on my quest for a OC-1 or C-1. While I am looking at setting up my Super Star as a K1 and C1 I was starting to think about the Wheelboy as an option. So I was wondering if anyone on here might have one for sale or has one sitting around being neglected that could use a new home ...

Re: WTB: Drakker Wheelboy

Ah, but they (Black Fly canoes) are missing a deck;) Not having to bail, or deal with pumps is nice:)

Re: WTB: Drakker Wheelboy

I am sure it would be hard to find a demo out west but I can't say enough good things about the Blackfly playboats. I had the original and now have a Delta and love them both. I weigh about 220 and I'm probably a little heavy but still love the performance!

Re: WTB: Drakker Wheelboy

Wheel Boy rocks for a play boat. It can run rivers too. at 190 it was good to go. Surfs well and I took its big brother down the LG with mega fun and SqueakyKnee has run the UG in one (WB) a number of times. Its a good buy and I will never sell mine. :-)

Re: WTB: Drakker Wheelboy

I'm sitting at 195lbs ok ok 200 lbs but I like having a1 in front of that number. I like the idea of getting an actual C1 but at my weight it sounds like I might be better off just doing a conversion. Especially at 500+ shipping. I've been looking into ways to fit out my superstar so I can switch ba...

Re: WTB: Drakker Wheelboy

It's a nice boat for a spud boat;) Reminds me very much of a converted Forplay - spins easily, very forgiving, and stable. A little less slicey than a Forplay of course. My only complaints are it is rather heavy (but of course I like light glass boats), and the original foam outfitting is terrible (...

Re: WTB: Drakker Wheelboy

Nah, at 200lbs.it's a good boat. Surfs well, very stable and faster than I expected. Not edgy at all. It's a much better design than my Big EZ c-1.

Re: WTB: Drakker Wheelboy

I used to own it, but i weighed to much for it. If your under 170 it could be a good playboat. Even at 200 it surfed well, and rolled like a dream, but man were those stern edges unforgiving.
