Re: Blackfly Condor $1500

Hey, I'm interested. I'm in Roanoke but I come to Damascus all the time. I'd like to sit in it first if possible, has there been much modification to the foam? What float bags are in it? Thanks!!

Ion VS "mid-length" modern boats

... but mixed in with mostly river running on most trips. Not sure how the Ion is at downstream travel. Also what's the dryness compared to other blackfly boats? Any opinions are appreciated!

ISO Short, Modern Boat (Blackfly, Esquif, etc)

ISO a used, shorter, modern WW canoe (option, octane, esquif models, etc) to save my composite, 12ft Outrage on low water runs. Hurts my shoulder to paddle heavy boats, so looking for something lighter but can still take a beating (aka short) or a highly maneuverable boat. Email me (connor.marland@m...

In praise of the Blackfly Condor

... a bit guilty here. 'Been meaning to post something on the Condor for a couple of months now. I don't own a Condor and don't actually own any Blackfly boats at present and no, don't get paid anything from any-boat-body. Moving on, gotta say, the Condor is a stellar design that really needs ...

Re: Buying Advice

... next level mean? Are there other open boaters that you can learn paddle technique from or are you going to have to self educate? The 20/20's and Blackfly's are very stable boats that allow you to do more difficult runs because they are forgiving but they are slow and that means that you have ...

Re: Buying Advice

If you are looking for lighter!

Then the Millbrook 20/20.

Any Blackfly canoe will be heavy.

Buying Advice

... an Esquif Nitro (stable but slow) and an Esquif Raven (stable but felt like a big bathtub). I think I’ve narrowed my search to either Millbrook or Blackfly in part because I live in Vermont and I could pick up a boat myself. Not to mention that all these boats look great and their prices are quite ...
