I have a good friend who is looking to sell his L'Edge. It's in great shape with maybe only a dozen WW runs on it. He's asking $900. I'll try and post some pics later. I can give contact info if anyone is interested as well.
The boat is in MI

Re: Solo Canoe Advice.
I recommend looking at the Millbrook's too! You'll be the envy of your paddling pals at the end of a fun exhausting day picking up that lithe lightweight boat ...plus they paddle so well and are distinctively beautiful! Much more durable than one would think.

Re: AC/DC review
I had a Mad River Malecite in skin coat instead of gel coat and it had quite a few imperfections...maybe somewhat typical? Plenty durable and worth the weight savings in my view.

Re: fishing from your canoe
I have a small folding anchor I use and just typically tie it off to a thwart...depending on which way I'm casting or wanting to cast and wind direction. Usually get myself positioned fine this way...unless it's too windy. The canoe doesn't seem to move about much after it settles in.

Re: Fiberglass thigh strap loops
How well did you rough up the kevlar on the hull? Sand it with some 60 grit and then use a hacksaw blade to rough it up more.

Re: Gel Flooring Knee pads in Option
Up here you can get minicell in 2, 3 & 4 lb densities. It does compress quicker and not hold up as well as neoprene...but there's different types of neoprene too. I like the feel and wear that neoprene has, but it seems slipprier too me when wet? Also is slightly heavier. We have some honeycomb stuf...

Re: Bell Canoes... No longer in business?!?!?!
Last I saw, I believe Ted Bell is starting up another company...although the solo models like the Wildfire, flashfire, starfire I believe are being made by Colden?
