Re: Buying Advice
Good comments above! I am 6' 175# and have paddled the Option for around 6 years. ME LIKE! It really helped me grow comfortable in C3/C3+. I paddled a Mohawk Viper 12 prior. As already stated, Millbrook will absolutely be lighter. The Option is not ...

Re: Buying Advice
... That said, it feels like if anything, I'm on the light/ short side for the 2020. You would love the Shacho I'd have to guess. The other glass option at your size would be MT Canoes FH (Ocoee). Glass is great-- fast, light, easy to repair if you like that kind of thing. Personally, I don't, ...

Buying Advice
... likes the Rayge, but I gather that it’s a more advanced boat. For Blackfly, I’ve heard the Octane 85 is a really fun, stable boat or possibly the Option. I realize there are trade offs for these different boats. Like do I want fast and nimble or slow and stable? Ideally a good balance of both! ...

Demo in Arizona?
Anyone in Arizona, or nearby, have an Option, Octane, or L'edge they'd be willing to let me demo? Hard to find canoes in general around here.

Quality breakdown paddle
Looking for a good quality, rigid whitewater breakdown canoe paddle. I have a blackfly option, probably need a 3 piece because of room. I have tried a aqua bound but seems a little spongy for me. There is a company in Canada that makes one that is really sturdy but ...

Re: Esquif Ledge vs Silverbirch Agent 8.8
Good way of looking at it is - an Agent is basically an Option and 91 made into one boat. Regarding durability - in over 3 years, and hundreds sold in NA, I haven't had a single customer contact me about their hull cracking. Pretty unbelievable actually. ...

Re: Esquif Ledge vs Silverbirch Agent 8.8
... short legs and a long torso; I really like the Octane 91 as well as the Agent and L Edge, but need to be on my A-game for the L Edge. Sadly the Option didn't work for me as well as these other boats. I know many folks say the Option is about the same as the Agent, but nope, not for me, no way. ...

... normal hiking tube hanging over his shoulder-- and he swears by it. At my end, ever since switching to bulkhead saddles -- Ledge lite x2, Octane, Option, and now Agent 88, I've anchored a Nalgene "Cantene" water bladder just stern of the back of the seat and have the bite tube on top of the rear ...
