Re: C-1 Spray Skirt Needed

Snapdragon made me a couple of the old small cockpit cboat skirts for our Hydra Duet a few years ago - might
be the same size as your Fanatic rim - mine are not for sale. They’ll make whatever for you also if you send a tracing.

... it and make a recreational C2 as it had great potential to be an awesome boat, and there really aren't many recreational C2's out there (Hydra Duet and Canoah Americana are the only two that come to mind in recent (past 40 years!) times. I told them if they made one I'd commit to purchasing ...

New to me New Wave Grokshark C2

... used is? I hope to be out in it in a week or so - it will mainly be with my 11 and 14 year old kids, which will be quite an upgrade from the Hydra Duet they are familiar with (our other kid boat is a Howler OC-2). I suspect my wife may join me in it some though she vastly prefers OC-2 to C-2. Thanks ...

Re: Hydra Duet - Outfitting suggestions

Can you post some pix so we can check out what you have now? There were many variations and what are you planning to use it one and with whom (very important)? 8)

... such as between 1st and 2nd drop of Lost Paddle during the 1999 Animal race on the Gauley in our wildwater C2. We did a lot of playboating in our Duet, and many many enders with flips common - we did many enders at Slice and Dice on the Ocoee, and if you flip you want to roll fast before you get ...

Re: Tandem boating, but drier. . .

Go with a Duet. We've runs ours all over - many times down Upper Gauley, which is a great run for it. Great enders and wave surfing. Also many Chattooga Section 4 runs in it, as well as playing on the Ocoee. It takes a powerful ...

New Millbrook boat for wife - Flashback vs. Shacho

... Kaz is welcome to add his input here also). I am a solid canoeist (you can see shots of some of my C2 fun on the pages for the Beguin, Feeling and Duet). My wife in contrast is skilled on the river, but a novice to intermediate canoeist. She guided rafts on the Arkansas during college and knows ...

Re: River Elf Storm Chaser

FWIW - if you build a "play" (meaning non-slalom) C2 I'll buy one. You folks do great work, and there just aren't many options out there (Hydra Duet's are plentiful, but the Canoah Americana is not...)

... which I may). It will be quite a few years before she's in a decked boat on WW (though next summer she may be comfortable enough to try the Hydra Duet... and flipping out of that (she's a real water-bug, but I don't want to scare her...). Each child is different though! Keep it fun:)

... for the boat. Also heard that rumor of Shaggy working on a composite C2 design for play time and that would be kewl! One last comment - Hydra Duet - Yes its nick name is "the Pig" but its a fun boat to paddle - particularly with newbies and youth. Very stable (32inches wide), fast (16" long) ...

I have a nice one. Always stored inside- no UV damage on this one. Excellent shape with no oil canning on the hull anywhere. Color: blue. Let me know if you are interested. One owner boat.
