Re: C1 stern squirt advice/critique

I went back to the pool today and had some improvement. The feedback here has been very helpful. Leaning back has made a big differenence. It saved me from going over backwards. I considered it a "sucessful" attempt if I could get the bow up a little bit and get my back wet. One fun exercise was to ...

Re: C1 stern squirt advice/critique

Thanks for the feeback! I'm going to work on more lateral flexibility and leaning back more.

I would like to eventually be able do something like this guy: http://youtu.be/GXbFlUavc3M But it's harder than I thought!

C1 stern squirt advice/critique

When I try to stern squirt my Amp C1 I usually fall over. Or I fail to get the stern down very far.

Here are some video clips from last night's pool session:

Any thoughts or advice?

Re: What is the most difficult CBoat you've ever paddled?

I have a converted Perception Amp that I am a little heavy for. I flip in that thing all the time! But it is so sweet for surfing. Next to that would be the Atom. I loved that boat for class 2 & 3. Above that I was prone to Insta-Flips(TM). I saw an older video around here somewhere of a guy in an A...

Not sure that's necessary, this is my favorite for analyzing technique:

That 70s video holds up really well! I hadn't seen it before. Thanks for posting it.

Re: 2" cam buckle that WON'T slip

Here's what I ordered: https://www.seatbeltplanet.com/seatbelts-and-accessories/lap-belts/m.products/23/view/4 You could also get real airplane seatbelt buckles here. They are a little more expensive but still reasonable. Supposedly they are more durable.: http://www.skybelts.com/Our-Story_ep_7.html...

Re: 2" cam buckle that WON'T slip

I never had any luck with plastic cam buckles. I tried a few different scuba buckles & webbing. They always slipped on me at the worst moments. So I switched to seatbelt buckles and have been very happy with them.

Is he making any more? I'm in the market for a set of airbags for a L'edge.

Astral Aquavest 300 - $75 + shipping

I got this in a trade, but turns out it is too small for me. The original owner had it for a year. It is in good condition.

I would also trade for a 54" paddle or a pair of 48" airbags.

Re: Drilling through minicell

Here's a primative method for drillling a straight hole through a minicell pedestal. We put a broomstick through a sharpened pvc pipe and lined up the broomstick against a door jamb for relative straightness. One person holds the broomstick. The other starts drillling the foam with the sharpened pvc...
