Re: Milbrook Hahn

Maybe drop Jim Michaud a note...he bought my Bill McKnight Hahn about eight years ago. At the time, I thought he might have been the only person in the WORLD interested in paddling Hahns. I am a person who knows a lot about boats which no one has any interest in. At any given time, I have a couple o...

Mold #2 and two open canoe molds I didn't even post went today. Wow.

I'll go to $150 on the XL Dynamic. It heads east on Wednesday.

Boats #2 and #3 are gone. To a highly discerning paddler, as you would expect.

I have pics of the Dynamic...drop me an email.

Old-school slalom C-1 and OC-1, Canon City, CO

I will be in Canon City, April 4-6. I have a couple boats and molds to move at that time. Sorry, no pics until I get there. Boat 1. 4 meter, Dynamic C-1. About 1" deeper than stock, no wings. Great shape. Crapy-but-functional workmanship. River-running lay-up. $300. Boat 2. 13' x 27 cm wide. OC-1 sl...

Re: Starting to look for a XL slalom C1

Good luck with that. Ha. I expect you have seen this: https://www.cboats.net/cforum3/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=7969332" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; In addition to a shortened Zealot, I would suggest a shortened Dynamic or shortened Super-D. Kaz will build you a surprisingly cheap-for-new...

Re: Homemade OC1, Stability Issues

I think he is saying his wetted width is 28". The 24" is the flat part of the total width. If that is true, I still think more time in the boat might solve the stability problem. Of course, some boats need to be sold for 25 bucks to someone who wants to make a planter out of it (Yes, I know that for...

Re: Homemade OC1, Stability Issues

As Adam writes: welcome to the boat-building world. As far as stability is concerned, I ask, how much have you paddled it? Many paddlers have ended up with a too-tender canoe right out of the box...but, eventually figured the boat out. As far as tumblehome...Bob is right, some canoes can be yanked i...

Jim,

Looks good. How deep is the boat at the front and aft of the rim?

Re: I think it's a Batmax

I don't see wings. I would guess UltraMax.

Apple made a version of the Max II and the UltraMax. The Max II was 8" deep, and the Ultra was something less than that.

Right now, that is the BO.

But, I expect a ton of folks are on their way here right now to buy that mold. If all you have is a buck, you'd better hurry.

Re: Wanted: Royalex OC2 (Duluth, MN)

If it is for you and Tim, you would be light enough to paddle this as an OC2:

Drive a little, save a lot.
