Josh?
Bloody awful things they are too.
No, no and more no. Bulkheads rock, this one especially, I have a Beluga M9 in 5 of my boats, because of it i go paddling more and spend less rime covered in contact cement and foam shavings!
BTW why do you think think they are awful?

Craig has is so right, The SpanishFly really is a do everything OC1. You can spin, cartwheel, loop and blunt. You can do multi day trips like the SunKosi and the Grand Canyon. You can play the river, rock spin and freewheel to your head falls off. And creek like a demon. The SpanishFly is one of Fra...

Mike,
Have you tried a Raven? If I had to choose between a Nitro or a Raven it would be Raven everytime.
I will have one at the Armada if you can wait that long. I am also fairly sure there are a few Nitros in Europe if you really want one.
See you in Imst in May 13 til 16

Ok ez, I think we should concentrate on sorting a date and a campsite before you guys start worrying about rivers. There is no way to know what level the various sections will be at during the Armada. It is nice to know everybody is getting excited about the Armada but lets cut out the assumption an...

Hello EuroArmada paddlers, In previous years the Armada has been over the Christi Himmelfahrt or Assension weekend, that would be 13th 'til 16th May 2010. this is not the fix date just an idea. There are loads of rivers in the Landeck area, 100's of people paddle the Imst gorge on a daily basis so a...

Hi Adam, I will also say that James Weir is an amazing paddler, and owes his photographer (Susanne Spoelmink) a beer, dinner, or both! Thanks that is a great thing to read over breakfast! I will pass the compliment on to 'Sanne and buy her beer. Very much looking forwards to seeing the finished prod...

Here in Europe Kober make the S Power canoe split paddle, you can custom order the paddle to be split into 2 or 3 pieces and where you want the splits to be. I have a 2 piece split, the shaft and T grip part is longer than the paddle blade part. It fits fine in the back of my Taureau without having ...

Thanks for your encouraging comments. @Paddle Power I'm a little surprised at the location of the rear D ring for the thigh straps, as it is over or above the ankle/heel. I guess it works well there for you. Yes the rear D ring is over my heals, the advantage is that I am very well strapped into the...

Hello Cboaters, I just outfitted a new Taureau and thought I would share what I did. http://blog.jamesweir.net/2009/11/pimp-my-ride-guide-to-outfitting-white.html I think customising your canoe is a vital to optimal performance. And as it says in the blog if you wanna know more, drop me a mail. Stay...

So back from from an amazing trip down the Grand. the SpanishFly was such a good boat, hitting the hard lines, surfing and easy to fly with. I had thought about taking a Spark but was SO glad I had the 'Fly, yes it slow on the flat but so much more suited to running the large steaming pile of dog do...

Thank you all for your advice. However the decision has just been made for me by the airplane company, a 3.5m boat hahaha!
So SpanishFly it will be.
I am well looking forward to the Canyon,
