Re: kayak conversions with higher back deck?

The Karma looks like it may have a higher deck behind the cockpit, it does not seem to have that dip behind the kayakers hips like most others do.

Re: crappy guest river gorge edit

A day long soaker will generally do it. The Guest is one of those rivers that's generally easier / more pleasant at it gets higher. The holes get numerous and munchy but it starts getting really manky much under a foot.

Re: C1 Roll

The advantage is that you can get your t-grip hand out past the edge of the boat (with paddle extended perpendicular to the boat), and you can get a lot of l...

Re: Which C1 for this open boater?

C'mon now, Atom isn't all bad...Fun for stern squirts on eddy lines...There's got to be the perfect long-trough low angle big face wave for surfing it out there somewhere (I'm on the hunt!). I think it's a good skill developer too, if you can get a boof out of that thing you've done something, it pr...

Re: c1 footwear?

I've been liking the astral brewer in the creeker, seems good so far. I have to wear a more bootie style in the Atom to be able to get my feet out.

Go for it. Should be squirty and wave-wheely. Fun with eddy lines! Might be pearly on waves?
