You want stable go with a Quake. Feels solid in a rapid and holds a line.

Hey Boathead could you send a pic or two of the Quake? I still use the double thigh and actually love it but had also thought about building a bulkhead like I have in the C1 to have both on the Quake. I have a really BAD OC roll but its getting better, my C roll is very close to 100%. I'm hoping the...

Hip pads in a OC

How much better do the hip pads make an OC. I just started really paddling C1 this year, and as such this is my first exposure to their use. I was looking at Wetnobby's SF pics and noticed them in there. I'd been knocking around the idea of putting some type of hip pad in the Quake but was not sure ...

It'll be a lot easier than a OC but, in my humble opinion, harder than a kayak......especially on the offside roll........not that I would ever be caught in a kayak :).

Mohawk Probe 12

Red Mohawk Probe 12 [now a 13], Perception Saddle, Airbags - $275

This is a well loved river boat, that still has plenty of life in it.

The boat is up in Clayton, GA [Chattooga], I'm down in Atlanta.

I'd be open to trades too.

Want to see something of beauty?

Noticed these three sights this morning [2009.01.07], the nicest thing I've seen in a while. http://americanwhitewater.org/content/River_state-summary_state_TN_ http://americanwhitewater.org/content/River_state-summary_state_GA_ http://americanwhitewater.org/content/River_state-summary_state_AL_ ......

Shoulder Pains

So I went out on the river today and during a simple and easy onside bow ruder I put a little to much weight on my paddle and BAM! I felt my shoulder slide out and then do some kind of grind and then, thank God, POP! right back in. It doesn't feel that bad now, wonders of Dogfish self medication and...

I got to say I tried the roll wetnobby posted up in the link and it works way better than the kayak style CtoC I was trying. Its not pretty but it works and feels way better. I normally rarely hit a roll even in a pool and I was hitting about every other roll I tried.

Holy crap thanks for the video wetnobby, I see what I'm screwing up. You use more of a swipe forward and back and I've been using a bastardized CtoC. Heading to the pool, THANKS!!

I could really careless about how my technique looks at this point as long as it works.

I don't paddle a SF but another bathtub boat and I got to agree with DooleyOC-1, just grab the lip and PULL all the way through the ledge while you jam your hips forward. Now if you got any suggestions on rolling a Dagger Quake I'm all ears, I have a 101 roll there.......I try 10 times and roll 1 ti...

I have a Dagger Centrifuge that I love. I can't speak to running Class IV in it but its fast [for a playboat] and has a lot of play in. I've only run Class III (Chattooga Sec3 & upper part of Sec4 to Woodall) in it but loved every minute of it.

I'm 6'3" 200 lbs.

There is always the ever running, low water classic of Sec4 from Woodall to the Lake. Good ole class III at best water. Otherwise your out o' luck in the SE......not that it does you any good but the Cheoah is releasing 02/21/09. Well you could ask Santa for a "good rain"! We'll be up on Sec4 probab...
