Hey am I seeing things or is ole boy not wearing a helmet?!?! Ya'll need to chip in and buy him a brainbucket, he spends a fair amount of time head down in the water.

Go to any Class IV run in the SE on the weekend and you'll see a few OCs around. I got to agree that Sec4 always has a few OC staging at the Bull on the weekend......I would not call Sec4 class IV until Five Falls though.

I know every time I'm up there I run into someone, OC or C1.

Love the Quake, probably my favorite open boat hands down. Didn't really like the Aftershock at all, didn't hold a line that well [this could be paddler] and just didn't "feel" solid.

God I wish....nope fencepost and a ton of minicell. Still a good setup but not a pedestal.

At 190 lbs I thought it was a good creeker but like Wendy said its a wet boat and you have to stay on your game in it [or at least I did].

I prefer the Viper 11 over the Rodeo though any day.

There is an older couple that paddles sometimes down on the Chattooga in Caper, they make everything look easy.......including catching 5-6 eddies in Corkscrew.

I've never paddled tandem so I can't speak to it but these two really worked the river with what looked like relative ease.

Anyone out there have a Finkenmeister that they would like to trade for a Quake? This boat is in great shape, is bagged, has a Dagger Pedestal with dual thigh straps and an electric bilge pump. The question has come up a few times so I'd be willing to sell the boat for $675 cash-in-hand or trade for...

I got to agree with kimmieOC1, Bull to Woodall is just fun......Bull to Camp Creek to be totally honest is just fun [the hike out BLOWS!]. Sec4 doesn't get hairy until Five Falls and even then its not bad until about 2.0'. If you want to head out when its warmer I'd be more than happy to meet up and...

As long as the kayak is of equal or greater length than my canoe its all good.

Probably heading out to do 3.5 or 4 [just Bull to Woodall, quick run] on Sunday.......the other guy going is a kayaker.

Actually I got to agree with Sir Adam on that note, I always felt tippy until I started paddling a Centrifuge converted to a C1.
