Another paddler from AWC lost his boat at Ferebee around 1:00 P.M. on Saturday. This sparked a chain of emails from people stating gear had a tendency to walk up there and it was not too uncommon. I've always felt pretty safe up there, often leaving boats and gear out while I milling around. On the ...

Nanty Low Lives

Hey I've always heard of boats and gear getting stolen from and around the Chattooga but apparently gear is now walking away up on the Nanty too. Even if you are in the main parking lot with tons of people in it, keep an eye on your stuff.

I third the h3255....or even better the Burn in a L. I think you'd like that one. Its not blazing fast but it ain't slow, plus super stable and a GREAT conversion.

Had one of those in a Probe 12 and loved it actually. Took some 1/4" foam to the seat area to handle the "hardness". Having the storage area was nice for shoving stuff in and the pedestal allowed pretty much anyone to try that boat out without having to readjust a bunch of straps.

Dagger Phantom

Just a quick question, I got a buddy heading out of state for awhile and he is going to leave a Dagger Phantom. I'm 6'3" at 190 lbs and I'm wondering if I can fit in that boat 'well' [I don't know the spec on it]? And would it be an "ok" river runner with some play in it? I took a bad spill above th...

Several Boats - a H3 255, 2 Diesel & a Dynamo

Fellow paddlers: Four kayaks were stolen from my carport and back yard sometime between Saturday evening and Monday afternoon. I live off Roxboro Rd. near Lenox Square. I would appreciate your keeping an eye out for them. The thieves apparently took the first four boats they saw and did not appear t...

Agreed there are always at least 3-4 OCs or Cs up there when I go. That last hole on the "big water" side [not the Olympic side, that one is unbelievable shallow] is a blast to get a beat down in......I mean play in if you have a clue.....which I don't.

No experience in a SF but in my old Quake with the cr@ppy Dagger bags I did this; in the stern I took the grommets at the end corners and lashed those to the thwart and the center grommet to the saddle, I did this with a long piece of cord so there was a V, and in the bow I did it in similar fashion...
