Have not seen this mentioned --
A young paddler in this area got a Tareau last summer. I paddled the boat breifly in Aug or Sept. Sometime around then, the seam split at the stern. Class 2 is all the boat had been on. The seam looked like two flanges fused together. Esquif took the Tareau back for replacement with a boat with rede...

The Rodeo
Is a shortened Mohawk Edge. Narrow with hard edges and lots of rocker. Rocker is straight line (not curved) from flat center section to ends. Edge was 14' ABS Mohawk version and maybe Frankie Hubbard's first design. Glass Edges were very good slalom OC-1s.

Breakdown?
If a breakdown, you should be able to shorten at the female end of the joint. You would have to cut off (pipe cutter), relocate the hole for the pin and the shaft plug. I think this maybe easier than removing T-grip.

Footwear
My BigGun C-1 is so roomy I can wear NRS Work Boots in the boat. They are basicly 7mm neo hiking boots (lace ups). These I use for really cold or remote paddling. Great for OC-1.

Seasons
I wear my dry suit from Dec thru May. The water is still really cold in early spring. I have used mine even in June in West Va. Best investment you can make.

Brrrrrr
I ski or try to teleboard 2 - 3 times a winter when the creeks are dry or froze up. Paddled the Tellico once sub 10 deg F. Have done Bullpasture and Maury (VA) several times in 15 deg range. Dont think I'm up to that any more. 25 or 30 about my limit now.

CFS
IMHO a CFS is a horrible conversion boat. As kayak it is good only in shallow steep creeks. Slow and no tracking.

Skeeter was a Frankie Hubbard design (Mohawk Edge/Viper, Dagger Ocoee, Pyranha Prelude/Spanish Fly). Savage went out of bus. in US maybe 2001??? and went to England as Sauvage for a short while (Skeeter no longer produced as far as I know). Sauvage designs were then picked up by Pyranha - thus the P...

Age of Skeeter
I bought my Skeeter from Appomattox River Co, Farmville VA on Feb 6, 1999. It was reported to be a first run boat and the first delivered to a VA dealer. Paddled it for 3 years + with bilge pump. Sold to "cheajack" Shuler after converting BigGun C-1. Skeeter was very easy to paddle but wet.

Conv. LUV
I had a LUV C-1 for couple years. It paddled as good as my Atom only different. I used it mostly on Class 2/3 creeks as a river running playboat. Stable, easy to roll, effortless stern squirts and an occassional accidental cartwheel. I have Delerious C-1 now and overall I liked the LUV better. Regre...
