Rolling a Blackfly

Recently, I added a coupla used boats to my quiver: an old Aftershock, and a newer Blackfly playboat. I'm hoping to try them both in the playpark at WESTFEST. The outfitting in both will need work, to fit my tiny little legs. But, with some foam scraps ...

Re: WESTFEST 2012

Still got your Skeeter on my radar! :D Hey Truckee -- speaking of such old-school hulls, wasn't it you, months ago, who inquired about an Aftershock for sale in these parts? Turns out it was a buddy of mine who wanted to off-load it, and since no one else wanted to buy it, I picked it up for ...

... u either go alone or you dont end up going at all. Solo- solo paddling puts a whole new deck of cards on the table. I once was swimming with an aftershock with a bag clipped in to the top deck mounted grab loop, with a blown front air bag- talk about interesting swim- the harder i tried to swim ...

... and frankly for real playboating a traditional OC1 sort've limits what you'll be able to do. You might look for a Spanishfly, Superfly or even an Aftershock but they won't deliver as good of rides as the more play oriented style boats out there. If I were you... I'd be all over this. http://www.cboats.net/cforum/viewtopic.php?t=7964323 ...

... than a L'Edge, might, just might... Actually prefer another boat to the L'Edge: I know someone who for some unknowable reason prefers a dagger aftershock over pretty much every other OC on the market.

... it. Its real claim to fame is that it is that it is basically unbreakable. I've never heard of a Quake hull cracking. Dagger came out with the aftershock the next year which was too wet to creek in and wasn't as good for rodeo as the superfly which came out around the same time for the 1999 ...

We had an old Dagger AFTERSHOCK out at the pool.

I think it could make for a great kid's boat. Yukon will set it up for his son (11yrs, about 70lbs). ...........report to come.

... The Quake met an early demise because it came out around the peak of "Rodeo". That was the focus of the day, Dagger quickly replaced it with the "AFTERSHOCK", a better rodeo boat. On that note, we had an Aftershock at the pool. Though it felt light and accellerated quick, I struggled to find much ...
