Have seen the Amerlite version, but never paddled.... always wanted a plastic one.
Looks really dry, and likely to have nice speed. I'm sure one of our European boaters will have worn one (or two) out by now. Believe this was the last Frankie boat, although never have substantiated that.

Not too far away is the New River- you can paddle from Boone to WV, maybe not in a week but before Claytor lake nothing is more than class III and class III is very debatable. For the most part it's pretty scenic even with a fair number of homes along the bank

The Ocoee and the Homes were nice and edgy if they were only made out of plastic. I agree the Skeeter and the Prelude will keep you on your toes but not because they ...
