Re: Deck the hulls with scraps of fabric; Falala La La. . .
... a term I coined to describe a hull partially, but not completely, decked. . . . why not just use a C1?' A legitimate question, except I have this Aftershock, see, and I really love paddling it, but it isn't the dryest boat in the quiver. . . Now -- pdolan's contribution is most appreciated! The ...

Deck the hulls with scraps of fabric; Falala La La. . .
So, we all know how useful full fabric decks are on expedition canoes.
Has anyone tried a fabric-type deck on a hybrid hull like a Spanish Fly, Quake, or Aftershock?
Thanks!
Rick

Re: Boat of the Week - Dagger Aftershock
A little less Aftershock footage than I remember (and a good deal more Superfly footage) but 8:35 is still a classic moment: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RwsAYPOjkrM Georgia Tech still owns a purple Aftershock marked demo. I spent ...

Boat of the Week - Dagger Aftershock
I think I got my first 360 in a hole in an Aftershock (though it may have been a Quake...I hopped in to it quick on the Ottawa for variety (and out of my medium standard cut Acrobat...)). Some of these "bath tubs" are still around, and have no ...

Re: Air Bags, post Gaia
NRS had some problems with air bags until they came out with the Infinity bags.
I had a set in my Aftershock which never let me down. I don't have the Aftershock anymore but I still have the bags waiting for their next boat. when I bought the Infinity bags they came with a lifetime warranty.

Re: Dagger AFtershock For Sale/Trade : Asheville Area
Hello Aftershock owner,
What are you asking for the boat? Also, is there a number I could reach you on to discuss. Would love to see pictures.
Thanks, Mason

Re: Dagger Aftershock?
. . . super stable but very wet. . . felt like an easy roll. . . What TonyB said. I recently bought an old A'Shock, and the previous owners affirmed 'stable and wet'. Tried it in the pool, and I can attest to it being EASY to roll. Another old crony had some success fabricating a deck and cockpit, ...

Re: Dagger Aftershock?
This is second hand information, but I've been told you may as well fill the boat up with water before you run a rapid or try to surf anything and that it makes a better (snow) sled than canoe. However, for someone as light as you, it may run dryer. If the price is right it could be a fun experiment.

Dagger Aftershock?
Looking at buying a Dagger Aftershock so need some advice! Would this be a good boat for someone my size (5'7", 135lb)? I've never open-boated before but want to get into it. I usually paddle a c1 dagger gradient or bliss-stick rad185. Let me know what you think.
Anna.
