Hi New to the forum and looking for a bit of advice. I'm in the process of acquiring a Mad River Rampage. Reading the details of it here, the review says that the vinyl decked ones aren't to the designed shape. Can anyone enlighten me if it's possible to whip off the decks ...

... wasn't symmetrical. Definitely fish-form. But I just looked at the MRC website and the overhead view of the "new"(?) Outrage looks like a slimmer Rampage. Maybe their image is inaccurate, but the middle 1/2 of the boat is dead straight. Looks like a bathtub. http://www.madrivercanoe.com/product/index/products/whitewater/outrage_caption_series/outrage_rx/ ...

... before pressing together. I am now using 3M Scotch Weld or West G-flex for D-rings, rather than Vynabond. Takes longer, but no solvent risk. The Rampage has a relatively low rocker, so as long as your two pedestals aren't set too far apart, I think you'll be OK using the boat tandem. It's really ...

Removing outfitting? Converting an OC-1 to an OC-2
There is a Rampage for sale on this board and I am in need of a new OC-2. My trusty old MRC Explorer, same vintage as the Rampage, has lots of memories. Is this feasible? The Blast is 6" shorter, the Vertige is 6" longer. Other ...

I'd guess a Rampage
The Rampage was 13'-3 or 4" with about 4" of rocker. It carried it's volume almost to the ends...looked really tubby. Sounds more like what you might have. I tried to find a picture...maybe snap a digital from an old catalog...

... years after I put new gunnels on it. I finally got smart and bought my first edge-boat: a Mohawk Viper 12. It would be hard to go back to the old Rampage now, although I did obtain an Outrage last year. It seems to paddle similarly to the Rampage, but turns alot quicker. I've been using it on ...

Rampage
In the limited time I spent in one it reminded me most of a refrigerator box.
