AquaBound Edge carbon reinforced 54" paddle $70

Used for about half of this past summer, the shaft is stiff enough but the blade flexs too much for me. Normal scratches from about 2 months of use. $70. I'm located in Western NC, travel between there and Atlanta often.

Re: Maximum weight for CUFLY?

In the grand scheme of Playboats , regardless of being open, its a large boat. The bigger you are the easier it will be to throw the ends down and make it more playful. At 185 i think it would be playful and still plenty stable (remember i'm using 'stable' relative to playboats, not stable relative ...

Re: Astral Brewer watershoe

Fixies and pbr?! both those things are pretty fun, especially when done together. (I do not own a fixie, but I do sport a mustache every once in awhile, I hope we can still be friends) Actually, there are two 16oz PBRs sitting in my fridge right now, and a fixed gear bike in my shop building. Of co...

Re: Astral Brewer watershoe

I'll be curious to see/try a pair in person. I have spent years trying to find water shoes that actually work ok with my insanely narrow heels and which don't smash my toes (I'm one of those folks who kneels with the foot flexed rather than with toes pointing sternward). I thought I'd found that in...

Re: Astral Brewer watershoe

they're awesome. I can't fit them in my C1's, but they're great for open boating and raft guiding (and yes they fit in a kayak too). very sticky sole. built well and look great. they dry faster than other water shoes I've owned (surprisingly fast). in cold water I wear neoprene socks and I'm plenty ...

Re: C1 Playboating massacre!

The vision 56 is way too small especially for starting out. I used to paddle that same boat and it was very hard to paddle down stream at 5'10" 160. I liked it for playboating. But either way you just got to get used to paddling a playboat c1. I promise if you stick with it you will be rewarded :)

The largest Cascade rapids can be found in this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1kynuhgdLrk 27 seconds in is the Horns. 50 seconds in is Kahuna. 1:03 is Junkyard. 1:15 is Raft Guide Extraordinaire Alex Weinert dropping the horns in a Mini-me. 1:25 is Chinese feet. See you out there guys!

Re: Does anyone have a 52 inch paddle they want to sell?

I have a 52 inch aqua bound edge that I cut down for playboating. It's the older one with the flexible white blade. I'd probably sell it if you came to The NOC and got it from me.

Looking for slalom boat in western Carolina or Atlanta

I'm in search of a somewhat modern slalom boat. I work on the nantahala and I am in Atlanta a lot too. I don't have a ton of money to spend but please let me know what you got.
