HELP with converting a DELIRIOUS

HELP with converting a DELIRIOUS by Darrin Prijon has designed the Delirious in such a way that it has this crazy ring around the inside of the cockpit; the ring is incorporated with the thigh braces to form a one piece structure. It appears that the ring adds structural integrity to the cockpit, an...

Paddle Preferenes

What type of paddle do you use? 2-aquabounds, 1-Viking, 1-harmony/perception What type of shaft do you prefer? why? Prefer oval but use round since that is what the paddles came with. Prefer wood for warmth but use composite since that is what the paddles came with. I like a good shaft protector sin...

What to start with OC2, OC1, C1...when to change

I don't think it really matters what canoe a paddler starts with. It could an OC2, OC1, C1... Nor do I think it really matter when one changes to another canoe. Kayakers learn to paddle a decked K1 from day one so why cann't a canoeist learn to paddle a C1 as his/her first boat? All forms of canoes ...

Graig's offer of outfitting pictures

Yes, definitely put some outfitting pictures for bulkheads online! I like your suggestion of sending them to C-Boats for reference
(C-Boats has an outfitting section).

Thanks go out to Craig for all the information he provided about open canoes.

Prijon Boxer/Chopper as creeker

I use a Prijon Boxer, now called the Chopper, as a creeker. It is a little narrow in the cockpit but otherwise a very suitable creeker. Long enough to be fast but short enough to be manuevable (sp?). Strong plastic with no pilars. Lots of room for overnight gear if you wish to go on longer creekin t...

lap belts

I use a lap belt instead of thigh straps for my C1. I use thigh straps for OC. In the decked boat the lap belt system was easier to install since there is no need for lower anchors. Also, it only requires one release. The release strap I have exits the cockpit front and lays outside with the skirt s...
