straps are made
I made a set of thigh straps out of 1inch straps with fastex buckles. I also made anchors. One for each side and one in the middle that both straps attach to. The whole setup was made from stuff around the house. I will try to get pics up in the next day or so. I am going to work up a pad to slide o...

Also, please advise on glue. I imagine the poly boat will need different glue then the rx boat I have been messing with.

marker
I planned on having a few paddling buddies help me by telling me when I am trimmed as I sit in and move an unglued pedestal. When I am trimmed I was going to simply sharpie the boat tracing the saddle position.

Conversion Time
The other day I picked up a Pyranha s6 200 on the cheap. I think I am going to do a conversion on it. I will probably paddle it as a kayak for a bit before converting it. I got it for playing on a class one river after work. So, I am going to pull the outfitting and glue in a saddle- probably get a ...

Paddled it
I paddled it during the race last year and dislocated my shoulder half way down. Keep in mind they do different releases at a 6kw release you are knuckle dragging rocks, 7.5 is ok 9kw is where it gets good. I hope to get up there a time or 2 his year.

My experience
I own a bent shaft flat water paddle that has become my favorite. It is light and smooth. The livery I work for has a demo kayak paddle called the Splash. It is a favorite of the the workers here for the class 1 river we are on. I hope that when we get our retail operation up and running this summer...

Snow Creek NC class 3 video
This is a quick video of the Snow Creek Float the Flush 6. Every couple of weeks the mill pond on Snow Creek has to flush and folks get together to make the run. There are numerous class 1, one class2, and one 3. This video is of the class 3 The Mill Hole. I am the last boater on the vid. As you can...

Wenonah rogue
Has anyone used a Wenonah Rogue for class 3 WW? I am thinking about working a trade for one and setting it up as a tandem boat for when my wife wants to come along. It would get used on class 2 and a bit of class 3. I have paddled the boat on class 1 and it was overkill for that river, but very dry....

I use them
I have them on both ends of my Outrage. I always used them for flat water and easy rivers, so when I bought the outrage, i did not remove them. I have found them handy a few times lowering my boat and tying it up on the bank.

thanks
great list. As a newbie, I can say that those are all things I am working on. I ran my first class 3 2 weeks ago. There were probably 30 boaters running a release on a small creek, many of the more experienced boaters were encouraging me to push myself a bit harder on the easy class 1 and 2 along th...

Paddle Length Preference
Ok, I am sure this has been hashed out, but my search turned up 1395 matches and none of them had anything to do with paddle length. I use 50 or 51 inch bent shaft for flat water and a 54straight for recreational paddling. But, I am new to Whitewater Canoeing. I bought an Outrage from creek1r, and I...
