That's plenty wide - theRemix 79 is 26.5 and it's stable like a couch.

Re: Bell 13' Flashfire Solo Canoe - Brand-New Condition - $1

Folks, this is a wonderful canoe and has been one I've lusted after for many years. I'm only glad this is on the wrong coast, to lessen the pull of the temptation...

Re: North East Outrigger Canoes?

Nathalie Thomas paddles outrigger, too - she's on here, can't remember her handle. though. I know her on FaceBook and will send her this way. I came across a Walden Nalu, rotomolded outrigger canoe several years ago - cheap - was intrigued and bought it. It must be more stable than the composite, hi...

Re: Source for wood t-grips

I actually *extended* a paddle, but similar process. Hardwood dowels from your local hardware store. The way I did it was get one to match the inside diameter of the shaft (conveniently 1" for mine), the biggest dowel I could get for the grip (1.25" I was what I got), and an Forstner bit the same si...

Re: Repairing hold-down on a Royalite boat.

I thought I heard back in the day that Royalite was lighter because it didn't have the inner layer of vinyl - you had ABS on the inside. Maybe that was true for one variation? And I have a memory of similar vintage that you were supposed to use a different adhesive which I thought was Stabond vs. Vy...

Re: Open canoe roll revised technique

I've always kept the t-grip in my belly, just like Kent Ford's video. It works great in my C-1s and most open boats. Unless.... I get top heavy and don't paddle often. Or... I try my friend's Octane 85 - I can't roll that thing to save my life. [I don't count the Option and Ion another friend has th...

Re: Paddle Tape ?

I've used plain old electrical tape. I get a slight texture with it but the greater benefit is with the use of a bright color, it's easier to find / identify the stick.
