Re: First L'Edge Downunder?
Hi Craig, I live in the upper Blue Mountains, about an hour from Penrith. When my skills are suitable, I'll paddle it there. So far, I've only paddled classic canoes for any serious length of time (http://www.youtube.com/user/hashticles" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;). I spent 2 hou...

Re: First L'Edge Downunder?
Wow!
Where in Australia are you located? I spent a bit of time with Eli at Penrith back in 2005. We didn't have the boats for it but had a chance to do some scouting in the Blue Mountains... and liked what we saw.
I truly hope you enjoy the boat.

Re: Geting back into the saddle.
In a word... nope . Lot's of bigger/wider/better kayaks out there these days to convert if you want... and frankly it's amazing how cheap you can pick up a two year old kayak that a double blader hates or wants to turn. On behalf of the OC1 community... there's been a lot of advancements in op...

Re: New light L'Edge
More information will be coming soon on the L'edge L'ight. Eli, Gigi and a few other folks have been testing them since last fall. So far so good. Shawn Malone is currently torture testing a Yella' L'ight before they are released. https://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash4/313455_54360708232...

Dagger Whitewater Canoes are coming BACK
I'd like to formally announce that I have accepted the position of lead designer and V.P. of marketing with the recently revitalized Dagger Canoe Company. Thank you to Jacques Chassé and the entire Esquif family for all the support you've given me over the years. https://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphot...

Who was the first person to put a "pump" in a canoe?
I seem to recall seeing electric bilge pumps being installed back in about 2002... but I don't rightly know who was the first one to do it?
