Hmm, I posted a similar response to another thread, but I'll try again.

The Westwoods have a DVD with footage of Kaz smokin' the gates, at Minden I think.

Deb, Carole, keep me honest here. I didn't dream that did I?

Carole and Andrew Westwood have a DVD with some amazing footage of John Kaz (maybe others) at Minden (I think...).

It looked like a commercially made disk, but I can't find it on either the Millbrook or Westwood sites.

I paddled a Caper for years, solo and tandem. It was my first WW boat and I loved it! I'd say go for it, especially if it's already outfitted for solo and tandem.

Can't comment on any of the others you list.

I was going to suggest you check in with PPCS, but I see you already have :-)

If you don't get a reply from the message board, try contacting Kyle directly (contacts page)

This thread reminds me of a conversation around the fire one evening my first time to the Dead. One gentleman, who must be into his sixth decade, asked what I was doing taking up a sport where the median age is fifty. Without missing a beat, my friend shot back " Keeping the median age at 50!" Well,...

First dated a Caper, had a brief fling with an Encore, now committed for life to an Ocoee (although I seriously lust after a Prowler...)

Here's what works for me while surfing. When the canoe starts to turn to my on-side I lean the boat hard towards my on-side, almost putting the gunwale into the water. This almost always causes the canoe to curve back towards my off-side. :-? I've never taken any canoeing courses so I don't know if...

10 Mile Slalom clinic?

Is this a sure thing, or might the general lack of water result in cancellation? I emailed the organizer, but have not received a reply. I'm trying to plan for Memorial Day weekend, so any insight is appreciated.

Thanks,
Rod

I saw that on ebay also. I love my Caper! Paddled it tandem and solo for years. Mine came with the Dagger triple position pedestal, which made it *really* heavy. It looks like kneeling thwarts on the ebay item, which would certainly be lighter, but perhaps wouldn't be everyone's preference. I've nev...
