Re: Caption outfitting - center bag size?
We use, if no bulkhead, one 54" endbag in a sewn "bra". It's also a nice spare bag if necessary, can be seen here:

Too long, too far apart, too less rocker, maybe not wide enough. Same for topo and dynamic duo

Re: esquif blast outfitting
Yes, one that covers only the widest part of the hull and levels the surface a bit. Then another one from top to bottom. If still confused then I'll try to make a quick drawing....

Re: esquif blast outfitting
Hi Henry, I would definitely recommend sidewall-fittings. First step would be attaching 2cm thickness, ~ 20cm high with sharpened edges to fit to the contour of the boat nicely. After that additional 2cm from gunnel to bottom. If this foam fits properly to you gunnels (without any bigger gap or diff...

Re: straps vs bulkhead
@dank:
I guess you're talking about the thighstrap-buckle. Some have this problem, just echange the original red belt-material to some slightly thicker or a bit worn ones from an old leashing strap.

Hi Robert, Nice to See you here. A roll like yours makes a good starting point because you can easily practice without the need to leave your boat. As already said a better Hipsnap is necessary in whitewater. To get it, the Position so far back doesn't work because your hip is blocked a lot. You hav...

Re: Ambitious tandem for a light team
We're around 290-295 lbs as a team have some experience with the Blast. I can only say -> try one <- I experienced big differences in boat performance having 20-30 lbs more in the boat. Performance decreased even the bow paddler was a good one. If it would be that much better with 20-30 lbs less ---...
