Re: Mitchell Premier aluminum tip fix tip?
I think this happens if you let the tip mushroom from hitting rocks. After you fix the delam as you have suggested you can prevent recurrence by periodically filing down the tip.

Re: voyageur nylon-urethane split seam repair
If you have any material from old bags you can cut a piece much larger that the split or hole in the bag (1" extra margins all around is usually good enough). Apply a thin coat of aquaseal to the area of the patch that you want to glue down. Carefully place the patch inside the bag through the hole ...

Contact "Red" Ashton at Endless River Adventures in the Nantahala gorge. Red is an awesome open boater and loves the Maxim. He would be great if you aren't opposed to paying for instruction. You will get what you pay for. (Corollary = advice is worth what you pay for it)

Re: FS: Dagger Aftershock - great shape!
What Yukon said. Both are wet and slow, but the Aftershock is wetter and slower than the Quake by far. The Quake tracks amazingly well for a short boat and the Aftershock does not. The Quake is as good or better as a creeker as it is a play boat. The Aftershock is more of a park and play boat but th...

Re: FS: Dagger Aftershock - great shape!
I've paddled both and own a Quake and a Big Dog Force. The Quake is awesome and the Aftershock sucks. Just my opinion. And here is another one. If you like that style of boat get a Big Dog Force. Drier, faster and more nimble than the Quake and just as stable.

FS-Vadja Nereus Slalom C-1
This is originally a 4m design that has been expertly cut to new race specs by the Soleus brothers (previous owners). It is yellow and is in great shape. One small very nicely done patch on the chine. It is just too painful for me to paddle often. Boat is in Chapel Hill, NC. Pics available. $600 wit...

Re: Adams new Magnet
Adam, if you took the mold from the one I use to have with the forest green deck and cream colored hull with the horribly rebuilt ends (that I did, not Andy), then the boat was built from a mold at Valley Mill and Andy took it with him to Dagger when he went to work there and threw it out back and n...

Re: Nova Craft Ocoee
I have had two Dagger Ocoees and one Bell Ocoee and this past summer purchased a NovaCraft Ocoee from Appomattox. I haven't outfitted it yet as my plan was to let it "cure" for a while before beating it on rocks (I'm getting pretty itchy). What I can say so far is that the Royalex in the boat appear...
