Re: Saddle position in Outrage X ?
One can put loose saddle in boat get in the pond scoop a few bailers full of water into the boat (I know it's counterintuitive ) move yourself on your saddle just enough so the puddle in the canoe is centered around your saddle. This worked great for me. One problem with bow heavy set ups is when wa...

Re: too darned cheap
It is just as hard to patch it together well just get a 16' plank of ash cut em fit em and be done with it. Make sure you measure the boat width and write it where the appropriate thwarts go. Work middle to the ends

Re: Wanting Blink Impressions
I paddled it pretty hard today on a low water rocky cl 3 + I was very pleased with its overall performance. I was noticeably less tired at the end of the run than had I paddled ( translation; more fun - less effort! ). Boat held up well to lots of bumping and grinding.

Re: What to do about bad knees
I think EZ is close to the cause. After paddling my knees seem to be " looser" maybe because they are getting worked while in position. They seem to feel like there is a small swollen pocket on the back side where it would be tightest when sitting on my heels with toes pointed behind. It can take da...

What to do about bad knees
It seems my knees are easily made very sore from canoeing and or work or both. I am wondering if there is a way to arrange outfitting in myboat to minimize harmful stress. I have my boats set up differently but it all seems to be the same result. Maybe some exercises or specific stretching routines?...

Re: European CBoat Armada 2014
Jakke I usually paddle cl 3-4+ Oc1, but I would also need to rent or borrow canoe , paddle, and pfd for a day or 2. An outfitter would be convenient if any in the area. Sounds like I'd need to travel from n. central Italy to an area with runnable rivers. How would I get any local info if there is an...

Re: European CBoat Armada 2014
Hi this is not really about this years armada but it has to do more with European canoeing. Here is the question. Some of my family is putting together a trip to central Italy in summer 2015. Is there any canoeing in that area or must I travel to the alps in northern Italy or another nearby country?...

Re: Black fly option vs esquif ledge
Don't rule out a mill brook especially if you will be on those Maine rivers you mentioned. Blink for a short sporty canoe a Shacho for fast and nimble. Very light 25-30 lbs depending on outfitting. Tough and fast

Re: Wanting Blink Impressions
I was able to take the Blink out yesterday. It is a deeper boat than the Option so it took me a while to get used to swinging the paddle over cleanly. It surfs quite nicely breaks the waves away very well. It is a very quick boat to get moving from a dead stop. I did not baby it and went over a few ...

Re: Wanting Blink Impressions
I also paddle an Option. My Blink is waiting for enough open water to be able to paddle it we'll enough to compare. Things around here are either too low or iced in but that should change soon. I here it paddles like a Stinkeye fwiw. I wanted a light weight creek boat for runs with a hike in or a hi...
