Taper shaft and secure with waterproof glue with a large cross pin (wooden dowel) has worked well for me.

Re: Pumps

Einar- are you going to the Tamihi slalom race? I'm planning on being up in BC for that and it would be great to boat with you again.

Re: moderation

Its unfortunate that you can't just share your love of open boating, gnarlzboy, instead of trying to stir things up with the trolling. Maybe you want people to remember you for your trolling instead of remembering you for being a great boater. For years you've chosen the troll route, can't wait for ...

Re: Pumps

Pump or no pump, who cares... just say no to douchebaggery. We seem to have more problem with that around here than pump envy.

I am a Liquid Logic dealer and would happily order you a shell so that you may convert it into a proper boat. :)

Re: WESTFEST 2013

Howdy- South Fork Payette is lower.. was around 800 if I remember correctly and its 521 now. More technical, more interesting lines to take... effects Canyon, Swirly, Staircase North Fork is higher at 2250... effects the Cascade playpark, NF and then the Main where the SF comes in... Main should be ...

Re: WESTFEST 2013

Hey Neil,
It will be good to see the Canadian crew again. Not sure on the available demos that I'll be bringing, offering them up for sale first though (new boats) and can deliver to westfest.

Re: Helmets...

Full face- Sweet FF Rocker is in a class by itself for around $350. The WRSI Moment is a great helmet for $150ish. I've used the Shred Ready Standard FF and its tight getting it on but not bad for the price. I like the system for tightening it to the noggin. Open face- The rest of the sweet lineup r...

Re: Canoe Shipping Question

I've shipped a bunch of boats across country and even to alaska using ODFL and Yellow, listed at 200 class, and 200-250 was the normal top end of the cost.
