Cheat Fest

I plan on being there with my Batmax. I need to get the dust off of it and what better way than racing down the Cheat.
I popped my ribs last weekend creekin' so I need to get back into a more sedate discipline of paddling for awhile.
Let me know if your coming to W. Va. sooner than Cheat Fest.

waterstick vs mitchell vs werner vs etc

... unpredictable. It also seemed to get "stuck" when trying to recover from the low brace. It is a funky looking paddle - when Batman paddles, his Batmax of course, this is his stick. For another kind of funky, try a bent shaft some time - I did and have ordered one from Maxwell Johnston - I liked ...

Hudson River WhiteWater Derby Results!!

... I placed 2nd in the Giant Slalom (would have been better but I missed a gate. Arrrrgh!). The Fanatic II is a great boat:). There was also a Batmax, Zealot, and Extrabat around:) (and a whip-it, I think). Sunday's downriver race (7 miles) was great. My paddling was "in a class by itself" ...

A new (old) paddling movement!

... I put it to you that one can paddle gracefully and appreciate a river in a MF'n elf shoe half pint milk jug. Not in the same way one does in a Batmax. But that's why Yakima makes them loooong roof rack bars, so we can carry all kinds of boats to the river. So, if I join the movement, will I ...

Cudamax opinions wanted.

... Grasshopper, you are both right, and not right. by WBT But, I am only right. It went like this: 1. Max II 2. Supermax 3. Ultramax 4. Cudamax 5. Batmax 6. Superbat 7. Extrabat 8. So on, and so forth. The Cudamax (and the Batmax, as well) was between the Ultramax and the Superbat as you said. ...

AMP conversion, PHAT c-1

... by David Wilkerson I've paddled one since May, and it is the best C-1 I've ever had. I previously paddled a whiplash and 3-d (and gyramax and batmax). I actually like the Amp better for river running than the 3-D. It is also a much better playboat than any of those boats. I weigh about 180. ...

A possible Renaissance of Race boats?

... cruising anyway, and besides, the harder the water, the more you want your boat to do what you want & feel comfortable & familiar. I had a kevlar Batmax fly off my van at the West & bounce around...and my first C-1, an old McKnight Hahn (blush..I didn't own it for long) slipped off Paul Flack's ...

First glass boat for intermediate Atom paddler?

... the rolliness of a Hahn is very unsettling and you will miss the performance features too. My solution for river running was to make a heavy-duty Batmax, removing the wings and about 20 cm or so from each end. Both the wings and the fine-pointed tips are there to meet ICF dimensions only. The ...

Super Batmax

You forgot the Super Batmax in your list. It came after the Batmax and before the ExtraBat. It is slightly narrower in the bow than the Batmax and so should be slightly faster. I could never tell much difference but then I'm not Jon ...
