Thanks for the input c1swim and KNeal Can't see why it wouldn't work - nice symetrical shape, carries some width toward the ends, could always be a little wider. Wood gunnels

Find the RAPID magazine's website. In an old issue (available online) there was a good, illustrated, step by step article on making and installing wood gunnels. And they did it on a ZOOM. If you don't wish to tackle it yourself, any competent professional or hobby woodworker could be hired. Good luck
