If you have a shop nearby that sells whitewater butt boats, they'll be able to weld it for you. For where the crack is and how it's going to be subjected to stress, I wouldn't do any of the homemade weld tricks like melting a cutting board into it. For what you describe, you're looking at around $25...

They're quite nice. Bond in with Vynabond. The straps have an internal stiffener, so they stay upright. Adjust them to the right setting and they'll almost lock in place. Easy to slip right into, almost as easy as sliding into a bulkhead. I always had thighstraps to back them up, but for basic contr...

The Aquabound Edge can be 2-3 pieces, I have a 2 piece that fits behind the seat in the Taureau. Blade separates from shaft. The 3 piece will have a breakdown shaft. Carbon blade/ shaft is a good paddle, white blade is floppy.

The Disco is made from a 3 layer linear polyethylene. Welding it's gonna be a PITA. I wouldn't trust G-Flex even though some are swearing by it. There is a much easier way to reshape plastic. Heat. Build a rough jig of what you want the boat to shape into. Put it out into the hot sun, fill the middl...

Trim them before bonding anything in I've never been a fan of "formula" placement, instead I prefer to take the boat out to a lake and play around with seat placement until I find the sweet spot. Start with the normal "back 9" from center" position and mark that with pencil/ grease marker. Paddle fo...

R-lite isn't UV stable, while you can bring back some color it's not going to undo the damage. Best to store them indoors, or go with Royalex which has a vinyl outer layer with better stability. I have been told that Watco oil will cover up some of the fade/ haze. Still, I'd find a way to cover the ...

Similar plastic to most kayaks, welds the same way.

I'd weld it vs hoping G-Flex will bond long term.

Images are specific to the boats. Detonator has a plunger type detonator - the hull is typically yellow Nitro has a drop of nitro - hull is typically orange Blast has the explosion - hull is typically red Kinda hard to see the Detonator/ Blast in this trade show photo, but gives a general hint. http...

Your local butt boat shop should have or know where you can find a plastic welder.

The Taureau is linear poly, very easy to weld. The welder can re-do the seam and you'll be good as new.

If you're running a composite 'vous, I'd put some reinforcing brackets on the seat frame and an extra layer of glass to help hold it in. The weak link seems to be the vertical joint on the frame, can sheer with enough force and the Grand has enough force. Can't comment on battery life. That's totall...

Build a bag cage, it will let you use larger bags. The large bag is confined by the cage and can only inflate to the cage size.

Second the MTI Big Bouy. I had an unplanned swim this spring and it worked impressively well. Feels like a normal PFD but with 26+ lbs of flotation.

Not sure what the paddle is called, but I have tried an adjustable bent from Sawyer. It uses a kayak ferrule and in the case of the paddle I tried it goes from a 48" to a 56" give or take. We brought it in to help people size bentshafts while in boat vs on land measurements. Blade size is smaller th...

Esquif lists Idaho River Sports in Boise as a dealer. No clue if they actually have anything in stock though. I have a pretty good selection, but we're an 8 hour drive from SLC. My understanding is there aren't any shops actually stocking OC-1 in your area. I've Forward Air'ed a few boats in the SLC...

If your other boat falls through, I can get a Nitro to the BA DEN Station. It's a 777 direct flight from DEN to Heathrow, so boat wouldn't be abused too much. They have a cute blonde working there who's always worth saying hi to :D . They don't however get the cool cars in their cargo like the Lufth...
