Re: Hand bilge pump?

I use a bilgemaster hand pump n my CU. No room for a battery! The bilgemaster is really solid. I just stick it under the lacing for the front airbag.

Re: Maximum weight for CUFLY?

leclercraven- I may not be the best person to comment on it since my roll is kinda shaky sometimes but it is tougher to roll than my old outrage and much tougher than my converted Fun C1. Not that its impossible, just unforgiving of my sometimes imperfect form! On the plus side- since it is so stabl...

Re: installing grab loops?

I installed grab loops on my Yellowstone solo using pvc pipe. I used a paper template to mark each side to make sure the holes were aligned before I started drilling. I twisted (it was a tight fit) the pvc in thru the hole on one side of the hull and out the other leaving the pipe long a few inches ...

Re: Maximum weight for CUFLY?

I'm 185lbs and my CU floats me just fine. It's a lot more stable than you might think just by looking at it. I find it tougher to roll than a lot of oc-1's though. Still a lot of fun to paddle and a short plastic boat comes in handy when the river gets boney!

Raft rental on the New River

Planning a three day trip on the upper New River in WV. My brother and I are planning to paddle canoes but we'd like to take along our cousin's who aren't experienced boaters. Trying to find someplace that will rent us a raft. All the websites I can find only advertise guided trips. All I want is a ...

Re: FS Pyranha Prelude

I'm interested and would love to see some pics of the hull and the repair work if you could send or post 'em. If it looks good I'll save you a trip to Canada ;)

Re: has anyone ever pinned/bridged/wrapped a plastic open bo

Just got back from a swiftwater rescue class where we intentionaly pinned a prelude a couple times. Wasn't really stuck bad but made for good practice for setting up z-drags. If you have a length of webbing, a couple carabiners, a prusik or two, and a sturdy throwrope you have a pin kit that will fi...

I'd consider selling. I'd need $550 for it.

Re: C1 conversion suggestions

Thanks for the invite! Would have taken you up on that but I just got your message. I was in Boulder (back in the flatlands now) visiting my brother who just moved out there. I'm planning on coming back out in the spring. Maybe we can meet up and i can take your boat for a spin!

C1 conversion suggestions

Toying with the idea of converting a butt boat. I've only been in a c1 once and I'm looking for suggestions on what boat to get. The boat I tried out was a wavesport ez. The cockpit was a little small for me and and like to have a little more boat under me. I'm not much of a playboater so I'm thinki...
