... with the bags inflated. For the 12 years I owned it the bags were still functional when I sold it. I do have another tandem that was a once or twice a year family WW boat that I bought voyager bags for and would take them out after every paddle and store. These bags have failed at the seams ...

Re: paddle shaft reinforcement question

12 inches up the shaft should be fine . I would use S-glass . Same weight twice the strength. The highest stress is at your shaft hand that forms a fulcrum.

I've lots of dynel sleeve. Send me you address and I'll send you some.
Cheers

... roll right in our C1s. So we always roll on the right. In the stern, I switch my paddle and do the standard C boat roll. At first, I would tap twice on the bottom of the boat to signal that I was ready to roll. That worked for the timing of the roll, but took a bit too much time. If we missed ...

Burn 3 conversion

The Pyranha Burn has always received top marks as a C-1 conversion. But the Burn design has been tweaked, at least twice. I believe the current offering is, like, Mark 3 (?) The current ads and reviews suggest "more river-runner, less creeker", sharp chines, better tracking but ...
