So what new slalom boat would you recommend? In addition to the usual classifieds (Ebay, Craigslist, Club ...

Late to the party, but I'll chime in, I love my Loco, too! It is taking a little getting used to, after 25 years of 4m -max derived designs (Ultramax -> Batmax -> Stealth and so on). I am still not yet used to shorter boats with bigger volume bows. ...

Re: sandiline skirt question

... but I really like the Sandiline combo top option, so I plan to stick with them. Thanks, jay Jay, I have noticed tha same thing mith my Galasport Loco. Many slalom skirts don't fit. I have a PEAK UK skirt, and it's too small. Last weekend at the Andrew Wastlake Memorial Slalom, I tried a Hiko, ...

You haven't indicated you height and weight, but judging by your problems with the Fanatic cockpit and your comfort in a Loco, I'm guessing that you may NOT be a small paddler. This might also be a consideration in what you choose to do. I'm not certain of the design weight ...

Slalom newbie -- typical issues and questions

... the opposite way (knees out and feet in) but this boat does not seem to fit me that way. The one time I sat in a more recent design (a Galasport Loco), I found it much more comfortable. The cockpit rim on the Loco is larger than the Fanatic II, so my thighs did not touch the rim, my knees were ...
