Flanders

Maybe we should take a poll of how many open boaters got their start in New Jersey! I live on Arabian Pines Farm, on Emmans Rd. in Flanders on the East side of route 206. I got my start paddling the Lehigh and working as a guide in college to make some money, now I work in Boonton for an environment...

I'm very excited! I have a C1 playboat and an ME OC2, so this will really round out my fleet.

I was looking for either the Fly or the Prelude and just couldn't pass up the offer for a boat that I surf all day in and still creek with!

Thanks Tom at Appomattox as always!

Mark T. and I took a Mad River ME OC2 down the Bottom Moose on the Saturday of MooseFest 2008. We had planned on running it to the portage after Double Drop and then switching to plastics. We had great lines, but both sets of thigh straps ended up torquing so much that the double backed plastic clas...

C-boaters should all recognize the value of some extra padding around the hip area (mini-cell or love-handle style). I put Seth in the mini-cell category. Unlike Seth (and kneeler), I rely on my love handles to lock in to the rim of my C1 and during those long paddling trips I have to bring extra st...

I use a 5.5 inch saddle in my converted Pyranha S:8. I use a 3.5 inch saddle in my New Wave C1 squirt/slalom boat. The 3.5 inch saddle leads to a very unique burning sensation in my kneecaps, but I found that any higher and I was losing significant rotational control because of the very low height o...

Thanks John! I am perfectly happy with an older 4m boat, especially if it means I can get a better deal.

Again, I am new to the sport of slalom so anything anbody has to get me started would be great!

WTB: C1 slalom boat - galasport or otherwise

I'm looking for a C1 slalom boat. PM me or email me if you have one available. I would prefer to spend $500 or less. I am new to the slalom world, so anything you have that I can use to get my foot in the door would be great. I live in New Jersey and could pick the boat up anywhere within 8 hours. T...
