Re: River Elf Road Trip
Thanks for the ride guys. Nice boats. Enjoyed the surf even if it was only on the dinky wave. Hope you enjoyed the Ohiopyle crew... sorry to have unleashed the old schoolers on you too. Looked like that conversation was going to be an in depth and detailed one! LOL

Nice! Keep us posted as to things as they firm up.
I should be in the area of the LY over the Memorial Day weekend and would like to check the products out - working out details on my end!

Re: Custom c1 skirts?
Skirtworks is MIA due to illness as well.
Did you try IR? Not sure if its their thing but they have been helpful in the past as to tweaking some gear. http://www.immersionresearch.com/store/ ... ay-skirts/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Re: Who pays for damaged gear in a rescue?
Couple thoughts... 1. Your safety gear really isn't for you... its for your buddies (well sort of... see #3). That said its in their best interest that a. you have it, b. you know how to use it, c. its in good working order The result is that my almost brand new dyneema rope ($90new) has some weird ...

Try IR (PA) and mountain surf (CAN) too. I think they both have made them in the past but not 100% on that. Skirtworks did for sure but they are no longer in business.

Re: An Option for Prelude paddlers
As a long time Prelude paddler of a third hand "beat to death" Prelude my next OC will be the Option. Mostly because it does what I want a OC to do... track, turn, boof and play! :-) I've demo'ed multiple generations of it on the IIs to IV +/- and was never left lacking or wanting. My $.01. Bottom l...

Re: hip pads
Personally I never liked hip pads that reach up higher than the cockpit rim. Found that the limited my flexability for rolling and found that outfitting my hips lower in the boat and having a more secure thigh bulk head / straps the better my roll and more control I have. However you install just ha...
