Canoeing Cascadas in Mexico - New Video

Hey CBoats! I've been spending my winter south of all the mayhem and snow, and managed to get on some pretty cool runs in Mexico and Costa Rica. This is my edit of our first leg in Mexico, featuring Rios Micos and Alseseca. A new episode of Cross Strokin', featuring Summer 2013, drops next week. Hop...

Re: Boat of the Week - Blackfly Option

The Option is my go-to boat, as can be said for a lot of people. Super consistent and always dependable. What I love most about it is that it doesn't do anything weird, it's just stable, fun, and maneuverable. While I'm not going to get into the whole L'Edge vs. Option thing, I will say that in the ...

Re: upper yough

I didn't mean to imply that the UY isn't Class IV, I think it is. While someone has been saying that it is Class III, that guy also swam five times, so... I think from Gap to above Bastard is Class III+ Bastard to National is Class IV+ Tommys to F-Up is Class IV and below F-up is Class III+ again th...

Re: upper yough

What Jim said. There's plenty of good open boaters doing the upper yough, PAC, bob hale, mark zak, etc who can show you down when your ready. What's great about the uy is that while it's class iv, there are classic and class iii+ lines around most rapids. If you can lead down the savage and you can ...

Re: Prijon Pure C1 vids on youtube?

Paddler was Alden Bird, the video is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zxmqMY9EZck" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; For the record, one of the kayakers is my buddy Radley, and this was his second time on the Upper B. He told me that he has never been more scared in his life than he ...

Re: Recall of WSRI helmets: Trident and Moment

It's probably good to go but give the buckle a firm tug. If it pops open, that transcends warranty, you don't want to be wearing something that is going to fail.

WRSI finally replaced my helmet after a couple months of back and forth. Hopefully this one works out

Re: C-Boater Nominated for Canoe &Kayak "Boater of the Year"

Jordan is a great boater and an even better dude, come on guys what he has been doing in the OC1 and C1 world is huge. He crushed the records at the green race in both divisions, running the race in an Ion no less. I voted for him and hope he wins

Re: Recall of WSRI helmets: Trident and Moment

I had a Moment and had the buckle issue, mine came unclipped whilst having a particularly bad swim on the Lower Big Sandy, and has unclipped here and there a few other times. The fact that it was a full face kept it on my head, if it wasn't a full face the lid would have probably come off They're se...

. . . I'd meant to share a specific and verifiable experience . . . not to bash generally. Wow! I think we're on to something here! Let's adapt Sir Adams idea -- how about a Bash of the Week! Where should we start? How about Brussels Sprouts? Gasoline Prices? Ingrown toe-nails? Parking tickets? Con...

Costa Rica Canoeing - The Latest Episode of Cross Strokin'

Hey guys, I was very luck to paddle and film down in Costa Rica this winter, paddling with Jim Coffey from Esprit, as well as a great group of friends including Eli Helbert, Jeremy Laucks, Richard Guin, and C-Boats own Sir Adam. This is the video, now the latest episode of Cross Strokin'. Canoe & Ka...
