No I don't think they would like that :)
I'll still take on your paddle spear with my skateboard.

I am very interested in the answer to this question. I've seen people take skateboards on a plane. I'd take a skateboard over a paddle in a fight any day. Less reach but a truck to the dome would hurt way more than a paddle blade IMO. I don't know if that's how airport security judges the acceptabil...

I'll be meandering down from NYC area on Saturday.

Plan is to paddle in Charlotte on Sunday and to drive that evening to Asheville. I'll be looking to catch up with the ALF crowd on Monday.

I heart Mitchell. I own 5 Mitchell sticks. They can be pricey to buy but they refurbish them for very reasonable prices and the product is of a high quality. That said, I am NOT a fan of Mitchell's new, thin, tapered carbon shafts. I very much prefer their old, wider carbon shafts. If a carbon shaft...

When I do the back-deck roll, it is entirely on the back face.

I plant the paddle before I flip all the way over and the blade never leaves the surface of the water. It's basically a huge low brace that is initiated on the off-side.

FLATWATER FLEET UPDATE I picked up a flatwater warrior on eBay: Price, $100; No Pic. The description said little more than "Old Town canoe. Includes trolling motor." I exchanged a few emails with the owner and learned that it is fiberglass and does not leak. The canoe was 3 hours away and the auctio...

WTB - Flatwater Canoes (NE)

I recently moved to a house on a tidal river in Southwestern Connecticut. I have a dock and many amenities (market, bars, restaurants, beach, shopping) within paddling distance. I'd like to pick up a couple canoes. I'm thinking a couple Grumman-type canoes (wide, stable, easy) for guests and one sol...

Free hull for conversion in CT

I have a Riot Air 60 hull (no seat/saddle). I'll give it away to anyone that will use it as a C1. It is located in Connecticut. You will need to put a saddle in it. I can offer some advice if you've never done a conversion before. The boat is designed to be a big boy playboat. I am on the low end of...

Take my empty hulls, please.

I have a Riot Air 60 hull and a Riot Nitro hull taking up space. I would love for someone to use them as a C-1. Both are in excellent condition. I'll let them go for interesting trades, free, whatever, they just need to go. The hulls are located in the Northeast. They each have hip pads and pillars ...
