Re: Lap belt vs thigh straps
I've found it's the knees that provide the most control. Thigh and lap belts help keep you in the boat. I like a lap belt in the playboat. I don't think the bulkhead needs to be more than 3-4" deep for the knees. Well designed hip pads go a long way towards keeping you in the boat also.

Re: Used Dagger Atom Spray Skirt
If you can't find one, contact Skirtworks, they can make you one. I have an Atom skirt from them, so they have definitely made them before. You may have to send them a tracing of the cockpit if they don't still have it on file. You'll have all kinds of other custom options also. I have another custo...

Re: Crappy Virginia Creeking Edit
I agree that names of rivers and rapids reduces the crappy level, however in this case access issue is too sensitive and the river must remain un-named.

Re: Thigh strap/hip pad locations
I've always found hip pads to be the hardest part of the outfit. It's usually the last task, and you think it's gonna be easy, and it usually ain't.

Re: C1 knee strap placement
I bought it, had it in a mystic for a while, now it's in a Prijon pure. Moving the outfitting from the mystic to the pure was simple. Larry also hooked me up with a center pillar he designed for his pure. The outfitting goes in easy, and once you have things tweaked you never have to mess with it. A...

Anyone traveling from Coloumbus GA, north?
I'm trying to get a boat towards Tri-Cities, TN area, and I'd travel to Asheville or similar. I'll throw some gas dollars if anyone is making a trip like this?
Thanks,
Dan P.

Re: stern-mount camera
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a8a-l_9kD9M I designed one for an upcoming GC trip that requires no drilling and no tools to remove or attach. It would have to be tinkered with a bit if the hull at the rear grab is not flattish, but I think you could do it with foam. The next design parameter would ...
