Re: ARF July 12,13,14 - AIN'T REDNECK FEST 2

Hoping some more Canadians will boat with us this year.

So far Jeremy and the blackfly demo's are expected. the Dryway or Fifebrook are exceptional river sections to demo canoes as you can easily get 2 laps in a day. I'm sure Blackfly would be happy to deliver something new and special to you there.

Re: stern-mount camera

all of the above said I can't believe the footage that came out of the hockey stick method. I just hope the mounting method can't lever the stick to massively fail the rear airbag....but then again he's really good and when he puts his mind into 100% bracing I bet he's near 100% bracing.

Re: stern-mount camera

I would not suggest a golf club as they are designed specifically to whip and generate emphasized movement (through the ball) when put into action. this is exactly opposite of what you want mounted to your camera. I've been engineering this "boing" character out of my runs since the Fall. Even that ...

Re: What paddle to buy

Well I stumbled into using Aqua-Bound paddles though Tommy and I'm happy I did. I'm extremely happy to paddle a flexible paddle. I've done some frame by frame evaluation of tommy landing on his low brace on rock and saw that paddle flex more than I thought the materials would ever give....quite a fe...

Re: footpeg modifications

I would cut it with a hacksaw while they are in the canoe and possibly do it as a 2 step process. You could just bare hand a blade if there is any difficulty in clearances. Personally I would cut it less than you think and just boat it or at least dry fit into it before cutting more. maybe sand the ...

Gmainer, the trade is off. Harrison found a super unbeatable deal at Friend's pricing down in NC so he's passing on my L'edge 10 hrs away. PM me or post on the Ledge for sale threads I posted today here or on npmb.
