In my H3:255, I built off the factory rail and it works great. PM me your email addrress and I can send pictures, if your interested. I also used straps and cut little slits in the factory rail for the straps to go under. It works great.

Rediscovering The Finkenmeister

I've been paddling a converted Pyranha H3 255 for several years and definitely like the boat. Recently I had the H3 on the Farad section of the Truckee River - a class 3+ run with one 4 at the level we ran it (2000 cfs). This section of the Truckee ...

... speed, some edge, but more nose rocker and volume for sure. My boats in paddling order went from Outrage, Ocoee, Skeeter, Taureau to the H3:255. I think the Ocoee and H3 have been the most fun and the boats that I liked paddling the best. thekrikkitwars do you think I am off base considering ...

Liquidlogic's New Stomper Flat Bottom Creek Boat

I am looking for my next C1 conversion to add to my fleet. From Larry and Bruce, and a few others recommendation, I have been paddling a H3:255 and really like it. My only wish is it had a little more volume up front and a little more rocker, as it wants to dive in some situations and these ...

I paddle a H3 255 (im 155 lbs) and love it on creeks/downriver, its got some hard edges, never paddled a prelude but It feels similar to my ocoee which the prelude was based off (or so i hear). I assume a Burn would be similar as well

h3 255

Hey Pat. Definately boat selection is important.I have a H3 255 with a seat almost 7'' high, not any more uncomfortable than an ocI and still sit inside the boat and don't need hip pads.I find it very stable and forgiving.I can surf pretty well in it. If ...

The bulkhead was tried in my Robson Finkenmeister for 2 years. I gave it a long stubborn shot :-? . I eventually put thigh straps in the boat and my control improved significantly.

The Pyranha H3 255 makes a very good conversion. I got mine from Larry Horne and it replaced my Finkenmeister.

You didn't say which size h3...the h3 255 would be ok. anything smaller, I would pass. A large burn is a little better. More rocker, so, less plugging. the burn also gets less stern squirts. Minor differences though. Good luck with a bulkhead ...
