... modified for C1, and it's even better. Although the standard skirt works, it feels tight on the rim - the IR doesn't, and I also have more general freedom of movement. The extra-long tunnel is nice, too!

Re: Dry Top and Pants vs. Dry Suit

I found that even an extra large drysuit did not allow me the freedom of movement to feel comfortable doing offside strokes. I'm 6'4, equal torso to leg length and about 170 lbs. The bibs have been adequate for the rivers I've run.

... structures don't get gronked as your thigh moves from side to side. But controlling the movement of the thigh, rather than foaming the knee into freedom, may be a better way to keep control of the boat. I once wrote a research proposal on chondromalacia patellae, so I'm entitled to have crazy ...

I do the majority of my paddling in a canoe as I do prefer it over a kayak for comfort (sitting) and freedom of movement, but can't get used to kneeling. Maybe you more experianced paddlers can help me. I go to a white water kayak (creeker) over a canoe ...

Mohawk "Whitewater"

I'm looking at a couple Mohawk Whitewater canoes but I can't find any info on their specs. One of them is supposedly plastic coated fiberglass and the other royalex. Also how they might compare to an Intrepid, Explorer, and Freedom 16. Thanks for any help.

4 days on the Colo River, Australia (7 min edit)

... low water levels, a clear path down the boulder-choked rapids is difficult to find, but sandy-beach campsites are plentiful. Boats are Mad River Freedom Solo, and Mad River Legend 16, both in Royalex. GoPro camera is mounted on the bow. King Rapids is said to be a Grade IV or V in high water--most ...

... strap through the seat tubes and across the housing. Thanks! Bob makes the best saddles. Go to your local home depot and look for a vinyl post by Freedom Vinyl Fencing that is 4.75 x 4.75 - that is what I am using.

... but it is used as a canoe rental boat frequently around here and I raced in one (mild WW) once. It wasn't pleasant ("pig boat" comes to mind). Freedom? That might be it, but I think the hull is more round in that case. Nice Superglide mold BTW
