I have never bought or not bought a boat due to color. However, when looking at pictures, my blue & white cascade looks really good. So, I guess it matters in that respect.

The OB dominance is more of a forum thing than an on the river reality. Good boating man.

I'm from the North and I don't base what I think of people on geography. Just seems dumb.

You don't want anything with much of a heel. It can hang up if you should need to wet exit.

I am really good at popped skirt rolls thanks to the snapdragon bungee skirt I got with my Cascade when I bought it. I have a Mountain Surf now and no more blown skirts.

Loyalsock

I had a great time paddling the Loyalsock last weekend. The Haystacks is a very interesting, atypical reef drop. I really enjoyed scouting, & running it. C boaters will tend to carry a spare paddle. Kayakers will tend not to. I don't mean us good them bad, just seems that way. Perhaps they are less likely to need one?

An OB has more room for spare gear and C1s are culturally linked to them?

I carry a spare in my boats. I have used a spare once myself. I have loaned my spare to kayakers twice. Its an important peice of safety gear.

Sometimes its go alone or miss the water event on small stuff, and I like to bike shuttle. Worth the additional risk anyway.
